Initiatives for a clean environment such as 'Zero waste and Green Environment' awareness campaign & 'Beat Plastics' campaign are organised.
This includes clean environment initiatives, zero waste campaigns, environmental awareness campaigns, reducing air and water pollution, plastic-free campaigns etc.
The group has earmarked resources for environmental conservation, and has been active with initiatives for environment conservation in several locations including Kozhikode, Mangalore and Bengaluru.
This project is undertaken in association with the Kerala government’s ‘Suchithwa Mission’ to enhance public awareness about the importance of cleanliness and proper disposal of plastic wastes. A number of roadshows and seminars have been held to raise awareness about these issues.
The Malabar Group and Manoramaonline.com launched the ‘Zero waste = 100 marks’ campaign to educate young minds on the need for environmental conservation and to trigger awareness among school students about the need to keep their school surroundings neat and clean.
A number of programmes have been conducted in Karnataka, including ‘Clean Mangalore’ and ‘Clean Mysore’. The ‘Act now, do something’ citizen awareness programme was held in Bengaluru in association with the state pollution control board to reduce air and water pollution.
